4 Semi-Detached Modular Houses delivered in Wales

Vale of Glamorgan Semi-detached houses

Valleys to Coast Housing Association have appointed Delkii to deliver 4 semi-detached modular homes in the Vale of Glamorgan to help the social housing provider to replenish their housing stock.

The existing properties have been condemned due to asbestos and have been tenantless for over 12 months, depleting the housing stock at a time when the need for housing is increasing.

Our SIPs Panel modular building system has been selected by Valleys to Coast as they required sustainable, energy-efficient properties that support families to reduce their energy bills as well as the impact on the environment.

The modular building system is designed for rapid deployment with properties constructed and water-tight within a matter of days and weeks in comparison to traditional building methods. Therefore, our system will allow V2C to speed up the occupancy process, providing much-needed additional housing and securing rental income.

Delivering such a project using our SIPs panels system, all buildings are made to measure further enhancing the cost-efficiencies of the project as we provide exact material costs, helping V2C manage budgetary requirements with certainty. Using a limited number of materials in the efficient construction system and delivering a project significantly shorter timeframe than brick-built homes, reduces the labour costs and, therefore, the overall build costs.

The aim of the project is to use Modern Methods of Construction to provide environmentally-friendly family homes that meet current and future housing requirements.
